Brownsville Officials Soccer Association is an official chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO). Membership is open to all referees and requires the completion of an application and payments of dues. Membership is not a guarantee to be assigned middle school nor high school soccer matches.
We are the Brownsville Officials Soccer Association (BOSA). Our Chapter, together with the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO), the University Interscholastic League (UIL), and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) work to provide high school soccer with some of the best referees in the state. Our chapter has over 60 members that work together as a team to officiate middle schools and high schools in Brownsville and its surrounding cities/counties.

MISSION STATEMENT
Brownsville Officials Soccer Association seeks to promote the sport of soccer by striving to improve the quality, efficiency, consistency, and uniformity of soccer officiating in our geographic area by providing a group of experienced, active, and capable soccer officials.
These officials will foster high standards of ethics, encourage fair play and sportsmanship by closely working together and having a better understanding between officials, school administrators, athletic directors, coaches, players, and fans.

- Advance the ideals of good sportsmanship and fair play through qualified officiating in soccer and respect for the authority of soccer officials at all levels of competition.
- Provide educations programs to advance the skills of soccer officials at all levels of competition.
- Analyze soccer rules to identify problems and seek solutions in cooperation with appropriate rule making bodies.
- Develop and maintain a membership consisting of experienced and capable soccer officials whose integrity is above reproach.
- Foster a high standard of ethics, closer cooperation, and better understanding among officials, athletic representatives, coaches, and players.
